DHNB 2027 Human(ities) in the Loop
DHNB, Digital Humanities in the Nordic and Baltic Countries, has issued its Call for Papers for the 2027 DHNB conference, taking place in Umeå from 1–5 March 2027. This year's theme, Human(ities) in the Loop, invites examples and reflections on the role of the Humanities for understanding not only AI-related changes, but also transformations driven by digital perspectives, methods and practices, in particular how they impact and influence our everyday life, teaching and research practices. Reading the Past with AI: Computational Approaches to Historical Artifacts
The conference “Reading the Past with AI: Computational Approaches to Historical Artifacts” will be held on 29–30 April 2027 at Sorbonne Université Paris. This event will explore how AI is transforming disciplines such as paleography, codicology, sigillography, and knowledge representation. Accepted papers will be published in a special issue of Digital Medievalist. Application deadline: 1 December |
